Yuly Rodriguez
Yuly is Buenas Finanzas Program Director. Buenas Finanzas provides CWCs full suite of services through a culturally competent lens, to better accommodate the needs of the Latinx population. She has a BA from City College of New York and a Masters in Public Administration from Metropolitan College of New York. With fourteen years experience leading social service initiatives, she previously worked at New Destiny as Director of HousingLink, and led a financial literacy initiative while working as Manager of Prospect Plaza at Neighborhood Trust Community Partners. Prior to joining CWC, she was with Leading on Opportunity as Family Financial Stability Manager.

Alisha Jeter
Alisha joined Common Wealth Charlotte in 2017 and is Director of Client Engagement. She joined CWC after nine years at Florence Crittenton Services where she assisted clients with a variety of vocational training, college and GED enrollment, budgeting, money management and time management skills. She directs all financial counseling, and leads the organizations Generation2080, MyAffordableHome and Mecklenburg County CRC initiatives. She is a graduate of Kent State University with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. Alisha is an NACCC® Certified Credit Counselor.

Tonia Frazier, MSW
Tonia serves as Director of Financial Education. A graduate of Winthrop University, Tonia joined Common Wealth Charlotte in 2019. She is responsible for delivering CWC’s financial literacy education throughout Charlotte and Mecklenburg County, and serves as the primary liaison with nonprofits and other agencies in the Charlotte area, customizing CWC services to meet the specific needs of those organizations and the clients each serves. She also leads CWC’s Financial Health Workplace initiative. Prior to earning her MSW degree, she enjoyed a 20-year career with Bank of America. Tonia is an NACCC® Certified Housing Counselor, and a CFSW® Certified Financial Social Worker.

Tonia McDougald
With 16 years experience in nonprofit credit counseling, Tonia brings in-depth knowledge of credit counseling and debt management guidance in one-to-one sessions with clients. In her current role as Manager of Loan Services, she is responsible for all loan portfolios and provides direct loan counseling and debt settlement planning to CWC clients. She also provides training in various capacities. Tonia is an NACCC® Certified Credit Counselor.

Madeline Hardison
Madeline is a 2015 graduate of Queens University, and joined Common Wealth Charlotte after serving as Admissions Coordinator for Florence Crittenton Services. She is a Senior Financial Counselor and co-manager of Generation2080, CWC’s wealth-building initiative. She also serves CWC in development and social media. Madeline is fluent in both English and Spanish, and is an NACCC® Certified Credit Counselor.

Joe Mynatt
Joe is Program Manager, and joined CWC after retiring in 2020 from Wells Fargo Corporate and Investment Banking where he was Head of Portfolio Management for the Technology, Media and Telecom group. Having served on Boards and as volunteer fundraiser for microfinance and small business non-profits, he respects many challenges our clients face as they strive to better control their financial outcomes. Joe works leads CWC's Lending Circles and Generation2080 initiatives, establishing committed step by step processes toward financial sustainability. Joe is an NACCC® Certified Financial Health Counselor.

David Arcia
Born and raised in El Salvador, David has been a Charlotte resident since 2014. He has over 5 years of experience as a professor at UNC-Charlotte, and over 10 years of experience in the public sector, including involvement with multiple non-profits in the Charlotte area. David is Buenas Finanzas Service Manager. He is passionate about social justice and the development of the Latinx community, individually and collectively. He is a technology buff who enjoys time with his family and good conversation. David is an NACCC® Certified Financial Health Counselor.

Sarah Wise
Sarah joins CWC as a Financial Counselor. A native of Scottsdale, AZ, she moved to Charlotte in 2000. She holds a BSW from UNC-Charlotte and an MSW from the University of Pittsburgh. Sarah brings professional experience after work in Adult Protective Services, Florence Crittenton Services as a Residential Counselor in Charlotte, Three Rivers Adoption Council in Pittsburgh and most recently eleven years with Atrium Health as a Social Work Supervisor. Her favorite financial motto is, "the most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity.” (Amelia Earhart)

Julie Drinkhahn
Julie provides oversight of CWC's core fundraising efforts as Grants Manager. In a career that has included work at some of Charlotte's most influential nonprofits– Goodwill of the Southern Piedmont, the Charlotte Chamber and the Arts & Science Council–Julie has established herself as one of the most accomplished development professionals in the Charlotte nonprofit community.

Meleny Pena-Johnson
Meleny, a CWC Financial Counselor, is a graduate of UNC-Charlotte. She joined CWC to assist individuals in achieving their financial goals. With a strong background in public health and social services, Meleny understands the broader impact of financial stability on overall well-being. She is dedicated to empowering her clients with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed financial decisions, whether it’s budgeting, saving, or navigating debt. Meleny believes that financial education is key to fostering independence and resilience in her community. Meleny is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Caroline Miller
Caroline joined CWC in August. 2022 as Communications Manager. She brings an extensive history of working in Charlotte's nonprofit community, holding marketing and event operations positions first with the YMCA and then with SHARE Charlotte. She has B.S and M.B.A. degrees from East Carolina University. In her role at CWC, Caroline is responsible for presenting CWC to the Charlotte/Mecklenburg community through media, advertising and events.

Patrick Wilde
Patrick serves CWC as Manager, Financial Health Workplace, leading our initiative to place financial education and counseling services onsite at businesses as employee benefits. He came to CWC after more than 10 years at Wells Fargo, most recently working in digital product strategy as it relates to financial health. Patrick is a versitle strategic business builder who combines excellent analytical skills, a broad perspective and customer focus to help organizations translate strategy into actionable products and services.

Shalil Giannone
Shalil serves CWC as Controller since joining the team in February, 2022. She brings more than 20 years experience in providing clients with tailored financial services, and has expertise in operational accounting, financial statement preparation and income tax work for nonprofit organizations. Prior to assisting CWC, Shalil’s other associations in Charlotte include Foundation for the Carolinas and the Children and Family Services Center (CFSC).

Chuck Jones
Chuck is Executive Director, and joined Common Wealth Charlotte in 2017 after 33 years in business, advertising, and marketing, including 25 years managing the firm he co-owned with his wife, Aprill. A Charlotte resident since 1987, Chuck cares deeply about the city, its people and its future. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, a musician, a writer, dog lover, coffee roaster and frequent traveler to U.S. National Parks. He is an NACCC® Certified Senior Credit Counselor.
