CWC Welcomes Four New Members to Its Board of Directors!

Common Wealth Charlotte is excited to announce the addition of four new members to the CWC Board of Directors: Faye Gaddy (Truist), Vanessa Hall (Wells Fargo), Amy Jacobs (Entrepreneur), and Brian Li (Providence Day School).

Faye Gaddy is the SVP, Managing Director of Accounting at Truist. She is a native of North Carolina and has been living in Charlotte for the past four years. Her favorite thing about living in Charlotte is the diverse culture and the ability to experience a variety of things with ease. When asked about a financial motto to live by she quoted Thomas Jefferson, “never spend money before you have earned it.” Welcome to the CWC Board of Directors, Faye!

Vanessa Hall is the Wealth and Investment Management Go-To-Market Leader at Wells Fargo. Originally from Westchester County, New York, she has been living in Charlotte for the past 15 years. One of her favorite things about this city is how many things are accessible. She also loves building impactful relationships she’s established here. She claims, “there are amazingly great people here in the Queen City. I am happy to call this place home. When people ask ‘where are you from?’ I slip up and no longer say New York, I proudly say Charlotte!” A financial motto she lives by is “plan today for a richer tomorrow.” We are excited to have you as a member of our board, Vanessa!

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Amy Jacobs has lived in Charlotte since 2001. One of her favorite things about living in Charlotte is how quickly it is growing, as well as the abundance of things to do. Amy is exploring entrepreneurship and has recently begun investing in tech startups. Before joining the CWC board she was on staff as Chief Opportunity Officer. Her favorite financial motto is, “When prosperity comes, do not use all of it.” by Confucius. We couldn’t agree more – welcome, Amy!

Born in Cheraw, South Carolina, Brian Li has been teaching math and finance in Charlotte since 2003 - he currently is a Financial Educator at Providence Day School. When asked his favorite thing about living in Charlotte, he said, “the people!” He also loves how Charlotte has the perfect combination of a big-city feel while retaining the small-town Southern charm. His favorite motto to live by is from financial legend, John Bogle: "stay the course. It is the most important single piece of investment wisdom I can give to you." Welcome, Brian – we are excited to have you!
