Welcome, Luis Lobo!
The Board of Directors of Common Wealth Charlotte welcomes Luis Lobo to its membership. Recently retired after a 39-year career at Truist (Legacy BB&T), he was previously Regional President for Washington, D.C. and most recently Executive Vice President over Multicultural Banking. A native of Costa Rica and raised in Lincolnton, NC, Luis holds degrees from Belmont Abbey College (BA) and Campbell University (MBA). He held leadership roles in the Washington Board of Trade, is past Chairman of American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking, and served 22 years on the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania.
“The unique approach of Common Wealth Charlotte sparked my initial interest,” Lobo said. “Financial education was the manner Truist engaged diverse communities over the last 10 years. These skills are not commonly held and when learned by individuals and families, they allow individuals to make better financial decisions and have better lives.”
Welcome, Luis!
