CWC Welcomes Elena Blackwell!

Common Wealth Charlotte is excited to announce the addition of our newest staff member, Elena Blackwell! Elena joins CWC’s Latinx initiative, Buenas Finanzas Carolinas, as Financial Counselor. In this role, she will provide client engagement as well as community outreach for the VITA Latino program.  

“I am beyond excited to welcome Elena Blackwell to the team! Her expertise, passion, and fresh perspective will undoubtedly help us continue to serve and reach more members of our community,” exclaims Yuly Rodriguez, Buenas Finanzas Carolinas Program Director. 

Originally from Honduras, Elena has now been in Charlotte for more than 4 years. Her main philosophy of life is to learn to teach, and that knowledge has to flow along with the blessings in your life. Elena exclaims that her favorite thing about living in Charlotte is the natural beauty of its parks and gardens, as well as its dynamic city life – she loves the cultural diversity of the people and the local opportunities to engage with them!  

Elena’s favorite financial motto is, “money has two key roles: First, to provide for our essential needs; and second, to help us grow our wealth. How you choose to use your money is a personal decision" - and we couldn’t agree more.
